"Two questions for whoever mig

"Two questions for whoever might be able to impart some wisdom on a novice....
1.) I have a 1970 33hp evinrude short shaft outboard that I need to mount a tiller handle onto. Anyone have one or suggestions for a subsitute? Any ideas on how to hook up steering to this? The old cable/pulley steering was pulled from the boat but I'd consider reinstalling it if someone could point to somewhere to get parts...
2.) OK, Someone has probably already asked, but the inside front cover of the motor housing lists a fuel:eek:il mix of 25 to 1. Guy I bought it from told me 50:1. Am I going to screw it up running it at 50:1 in any way? I remember reading in a previous post/answer something about newer oils letting one mix lean (50:1) for older motors but I'm really a novice on this stuff.
I appreciate whatever help is offered.....

"Eric... Any company that hand

"Eric... Any company that handles items in the marine line should stock the pulley/cable steering components. On that model, there is a steering connector that attaches to the center of the carrying handle, to which pulleys attach. I can't help you with the tiller handle (throttle handle) but I'd suggest checking with dealers and whoever might have a stock of old engines. You can use the 50/1 mixture with no worries. The oil is formulated to work with all OMC outboards excepting the 7.5hp model.
