Hi everyone! I'm about to install my old merc 500 that I've got to run (thanks to this forum) on a 14' fiberglass boat. I rebuilt the transom and I want to know if anyone knows the bolt pattern for the engine? I'm gonna make some aluminum plate to put between the mounting bracket and transom to spread the load evenly. Aslo what is the size of and material of the bolts, washer an nut used on this engine? I've read somewhere that the bolt act as the anode or something (might be wrong on this one). Anyway, any tips or inputs on the installation would be appreciated.
