I have a 5.0LX 1992 that starts fine runs @ 3600 for 20 mins. sometimes more sometimes less and then it starts with what I first thought was water and a momentary miss. After 5-15 sec. it does it again and then starts sooner and sooner. At some point I pull the the throttle back a bit and it stops missing for a little while, then starts back up. Again I pull the throttle back and it stops, but at some point I pull it back to where I come off of plane. Never stalls I checked for water, none. Fuel pressure and volume, great. Any ideas? I called local Mercuriser dealers and asked about a tester for the Thunder bolt ignition and was told no such thing. They just r&r and if the problem goes away great. The tests for the ignition really test for spark, not advance problems, etc. Thanks, Dave
