Throttle won't accelerate after idle speed

I have a Mercury 6.2L Bravo 3. I was running at 5 mph in the slow zone for five minutes. When I passed the bouy I tried to accelerate but speed never changed. I moved the throttle all the way forward but had no acceleration. I moved it back to neutral and then forward and it worked properly. Any ideas why that happened? Thanks

Guessing the motor uses DTS system, providing a serial number will verify?

The signal to shift into gear happens but increasing throttle is not. Might be a bad connection on throttle control or motor.

Are you getting anything show up on vessel view or hear any beeps when moving throttle?

The boat is a 2016 Rinker. I was not getting any beeping. When I got it up to running speed after about five minutes it stalled. I started it back up and returned to the dock and started searching my phone for information. Probably time to invest in vessel view.

Lets start off with motor serial number?

Need a scanner (Rinda) but until then we'll start with simple stuff
Need to measure fuel pressure at the rail, it should be 38 to 43 psi from idle to WOT
