I have a 5Hp Merc Outboard. The throttle return is very weak. Yes i checked the little thumbwheel that lets you lock it in at a certain setting. That is loose. I cleaned then greased the heck out of everything, and no better. Spring seems properly in place on throttle shaft. Any tips or hints. Having it so weak with the spring makes the throttle very touchy and difficult to control. If you release your hand from it, generally will not return on its own…
