Hi Folks!
I am workiing on my 1997 Johnson 150 (J150NXEUC). On the Stbd throttle body when removed from the engine I notice that the throttle plates seem to not be centered and they stick slightly open under the spring pressure when they should be closed. If I push them closed, they are sticky when I try to open them. I believe it is the center (# 3 cylinder) plate that is slightly off, but it is hard to tell for sure. I thought I had read that because they are staked there is no way to center them better, but I am hoping someone has some experience with this issue. Perhaps it is a non-issue if my throttle cable and linkage is adjusted well and they will close all the way under cable pressure, but the Port bank works very smoothly, and I like things working that way! Any help is greatly appreciated.
