"I recently acquired a 1987 Force 85 hp. It has a Morse control box and I can't figure out how to get the throttle to open for starting. I can pull the lever out to disengage the shift cable and move it forward some, but the throttle won't open because there is an interlock on the shift rod that stops it from moving. I am baffled. Without the throttle plates opening up how does it get enough fuel to start???"
