Throttle extension help 98 Evinrude

i want to extend my throtte on my 98 E6RECR Evinrude, possibly take pvc and split and use hose clamps. How would I find the diameter of the current hand throtte where I could place the PVC pipe. My motor is currently 45 minutes from my house.

If you have other ideas I will take them

The only thing I can say at this point is to measure the handle. I don't know of any specs on them. Maybe somebody will chime in that has one.
