throttle cable

hey guys on my 88 spl it seem like a have a ton of travel in my throttle cable . wide open at my control box seems to far forward. any thought would be appreciated. thanks

dont know i bought the boat 2 yrs ago . the problem is they are run under the floor and i tried to snake wires through the hole and was a no go . i was wondering if i could run it out the side of my console across the the floor then down the gunwoll down to motor.

i have already ran all new wiring this way with half a pvc pipe covering the wires i plan on fiberglassing over the pipe but was waiting to figure this out first.

old i know . should i try to run it under floor or do you think i could run through the gunwall

I don't know what your boat looks like but I think the gunwall would be easier and less chance of water contamination. JMO
