Hi. I have a '99 Mercury 150 XR6, OG824125. I just changed the control cables and seem to have a binding problem. Forward throttle feels fairly stiff, but when I go to reverse the throttle is very smooth and easy. I disconnected the throttle cable from the motor and it is still stiff in forward, easy in reverse.
I took the control box covers off but can't see any problem there.
Any ideas or has anyone else had this problem?
