Thermostats

I am in need of 2 thermostats for my 1963 Ford big block FE interceptor engine. The outside diameter is 1 7/8"

My guess is you tried looking up 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 at places like NAPA, Autozone, etc??
I did some looking and the norm is 53MM

Most all the thermostats have an OD of 2 to 2 1/8
If there is room, what about using some right or left hand tin snips and cut the outer edge?

Did a quick search for "Ford thermostat with 1.75 OD" and found a 1.88 for a flat head Ford
