" Got my waterpump replaced and it works fine. Thanks to everybody that contributed info and help. Also, per Joe's recommendation, I switched to Mid-grade gasoline. Engine idles a lot smoother and runs better. Next, I'm putting a water pressure gauge on the boat so I don't have to look back to see if I am pumping water or not. Thanks again. "

" He doesn't like or use regular gasoline because it lacks the cleaning ability of mid-grade. He doesn't recommend premium because it has too many additives that could harm engine. I filled my tank with mid-grade and my Johnson 150 idles a lot better, cranks faster, and runs a lot smoother at cruising speeds. Joe says mid-grade has enough detergent additive to help keep engine and plugs cleaner than regular and you get better performance. He was right on with the performance part and is probably right about the rest of it also. "
