I wanted to say thank you to all of the contributors on this site. You have helped me so much with my 1990 90 hp Johnson. I started thinking about it, and I made a list of items you have helped me with:
1 carb bowls warped
2 faulty power pack
3 replace water pump
4 replace thermostats (without removing powerhead)
5 tilt and trim unit removal and repair
6 tachometer problems
7 prop selection

She runs great now! Starts instantly and jumps up to 5500 rpm at WOT.
So thanks to you all. Especially Joe Reeves, Timguy, and racerone who almost always respond to so many people.

We appreciate that, brother. Its guys like you that keeps us wanting to help.....we do our best. Joe, and possibly Racer, are founding members of this site, I am honored to be included with them in the same post.

It's always pleasant and pleasing to the ears and ones ego to hear even just a single "Thank You" for our well intended advice, and even more so when time is taken to list exactly what problems were solved.

In most cases, when, if we are able to help solve the problem... and the boater/member is once more a happy camper, he/she is out boating, cruising at 3/4 throttle or so into the sunset with Randolph Scott (or somebody) and we never hear from them again. However, should that be the case, we do not look down on that scenario, as getting them back in the water is our main purpose.

However.... that little bit extra at the end of the problem... that Thank You thing.... yeah, I sorta like that!

I just came back for a little stroll backwards thru the forum pages of around 279 thru 300 (last page). A lot of memories there in 2002, names of members, technicians, contributors there, friends that I realize now are no longer heard from. I like to think that they know they were the start of making this a great site to be a part of... and I wonder what happened to them.
