Thank you for your response, however, the spring that I am seeing is attached to the bottom of the primer bracket. This bracket has the paddle that pushes down on the primer on the right side and an arm on the left side that attaches to a linkage. There are 2 screws that attaches it to the carburetor. The choke and idle speed adjuster also attach to the bracket. I am attaching a picture of the bracket. My apologies.I've attached a link to a video of a rebuild of the carb I think you have. I've also attached a parts diagram where you can order parts needed. I'm guessing you're talking about the spring that's in the primer. There's a small spring and also a small steel ball. It's a check valve, I assume. Hope this helps.
