Hi All,
I have a 2002 Mercury 115 two-stroke. There is a tan wire running from the control box to the temp gauge, which appears to be open circuit. The gauge works fine - tested with a variable resistor.
On the engine, all I can find is what looks like a bimetallic temp switch with a tan-blue wire. Am I right in thinking that my engine doesn't actually have a temp sender or am I just not looking in the right spot?
Incidentally, in the motor housing there is a tan wire not with a bullet socket not plugged into anything coming out from the big connector on the wiring wiring harness to the control box.
Thanks,
Thomas
