Temp guage

I have a 1995 evinrude 70 that I'm trying to hook up a temp guage to. I know where to wire the sender to but I have no idea where to get power to the guage . Help anyone please.

The wire that's attached to the gauge..... connect it to the "A" (accessory) terminal of the ignition switch. It will only have voltage applied to it when the key is in the ON or START position.

Do you have the three pin connector on your controls for a tach? If so you can use key on hot on that connector to hook up the temp guage. Better yet get the harness and hook up a tach at the same time. Key on hot, ground and signal!
