Where is the Tell Tale Nozzle located on a 40 HP Evinrude ?

Do you have a model #------They are NOT all the same you know.

It is a 1992, 40 HP, Mod# VE40TLENM

It should be on the lower cowling,----Back of the motor , starboard side.-------------If you are not sure of the cooling on a " new to you motor " you should install a new impeller !
