I have recently become owner of 3 older Johnson motors

Johnson 5 HP Model TD20
Serial #580330
1946-1949

Johnson 3 HP JW18R
Serial #B111037
1963

Johnson 5.5 HP CD13
Serial #1371171
1956

Not being too familiar with them, can someone tell me the spark plug and gap, and also fuel mixture for each of them? I sure would appreciate simple answers without abbreviations which I might not understand.

All 3 motors have a spark plug gap of .030

The 1963 3hp is 50:1 J4J Champion
The 5hp and 5.5hp is 24:1 J6J Champion
Be sure to use a good quality TCW3 oil

This is the information I have.

The trailing "J" is now "C", as in J6C.

I miss read it as saying 1963 when it actually said AFTER 1963.

Make sure the gearbox in is a barrel of water before you start them up.

That 16:1 is the original factory mix you can run it. But remember that mix was with straight 30w oil which is what they used then. The new mix will be with TCW-3 which is a much better oil allowing you to get away with 24:1 with no problems.
