"hi all the water in my cooling system turns a dirty brown colour whithin a short while of flushing out and adding good quality anti freeze, it has been like that since owning the boat for over two years. The engine hours are coming up to 1200 and i average about 400 a year all i need to know is there any thing to worry about, apart from that, the engine runs perfect. regards peter."

"I think you should post this in the VP diesel forum, as this is for gasoline engines. However, I can say that a coolant needs (in addition to antifreeze) to contain anti-corrosion agents. I would give the engine a good flush and make sure that you add the right coolant (check the VP specs regarding the right coolant for your engine)."
