"It's not the fixing it's getting the old thing apart.
Anyone have any good tips on getting 13 year old bolts out of aluminum parts, with out ringing off or stripping the threads out.
I'v tried heat, cold and every kind of penatrent there is."

Generous amounts of heat. Then after you get it apart and before reasembly...use marine grade never seize on those bolts...and make it an annual regiment to pull them out annually 1 at a time and re-apply. Gearcase and powerhead to pan bolts a priority. You won't fight with it again.

"Thanks all, I'm pretty much doing all of this to get the old bolts out; I guess taking your time is the key. Just one more that seems to help me sometimes, is to take a flat punch a little smaller that the bolt head line it up straight with the bolt and give it a few sharp licks with a hammer.
