Where do you hook up the signal wire on an outboard tach ???

" Blew a piston on 1986 Mercur

" Blew a piston on 1986 Mercury 90hp. Changed it out with a 115hp Evinrude that has been sitting up for over three years. Did everything that I could think of except change out waater pump impeller before I tried to start it. Started first time and seems to run like a top. Waterpump is working well, Is there any benefit to changing impeller at this time? Not sure I know how - don't have a repair manual. "

Have 77 85HP Evinrude Runs hot at 4K and above.New water pump installed still runs hot. Any suggestions
