" My tach quit working. Looked at the wiring and found a broken wire. Fixed it. Tach worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now only shows 1/2 rpm's motor is turning. Motor was idleing on about 650. Now tach idle at about 250 and where it should show 4000 it shows only about 1600. Checked wireing again and its got continuity. Motor is gt 150 Johnson, 1984 model. Whats wrong? "
