"I own a 2004 Bayliner 18.5' bowrider w/ Mercruiser Alpha One engine. Last year the tachometer began to spike when the engine was running. Now it has stopped working all together; frozen at approx 1,100 rpm regardless if the engine is running or not. Any suggestions on what the problem may be. Thanks."
