"Here's what happens;-
Re-launch for winter season.
Starting up, tacho works and batt volts head up to 14v and change
After a few minutes, the voltage reduces to 13.2 and the tacho stops. Subsequent starts, the voltage is 13.2 max. and the tach does not work. It behaves this way every day.
The batt voltage didn't behave like this last season. Another detail- the batteries were solar maintained when layed up and are FULLY charged 12.7 at rest

Checks so far; connectors good, stator to spec., power to tacho good, grey wire to tacho- a.c. volts on fluke drops to zero when tach is failing."

"a slight drop in charge is common after starting,
you say tach stops working (does it come and go while running)could be "voltage regulater"
Most likely."
