I have an Air Guide Tachometer model 690-BB. It's wired into my '66 80hp Starflite. On the back it has 4 terminals. Currently is has the jumper wire between 1 & 4. It will work for awhile and then stop. According to the Air Guide Application Chart(see attached) 1 & 4 is for a Capacitive Discharge system. My engine has a stator. Is the stator the same as an alternator and should I jump 1,3, & 4? View attachment Airguide Tachometer Application Guide.pdf
