" The wire coming from my stator for my tach is broken, and I thinking instead of spending the $300 - $400 dollars to replace the stator what do you think about attaching a pickup off a timing light to a spark plug wire and running the wire to the tach. I am just trying to take the cheap way out, but I do not want to short anything out. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated "
