"is it possible to hook up a tachometer to a magento-and-points ignition on early 60s OMC? it's a twin with separate points set for each cylinder and i can't figure out how to make tach signal happen, if it's even possible.

im not sure if amrineengine carries these small tachs but i have seen tachs for 1 and 2 cylinder motors in my cabelas book for around $30-40 and they go on your plug wire.

- there are several different sub-models depending on the exact ignition and cylinder configuration. If you're not sure which one is right for your engine, you can probably just e-mail them and ask - at least I've had very fast and helpful service from their representative in the UK.

Just make sure if you install one of these, your high tension leads are insulated well at the boot ends, otherwise you can kill the tach unit if you get spark arcing to the sensor wire from rain or splashwater on the lead... Don't ask me how I know.
