"I want to put a tach on my 1652 SeaArk. I have a 1998 Mariner 40 hp. It has no gauges currently. Is this as simple as installing the the tach in my console and plugging it in? There is what looks like a connector that ends at the ignition, throttle, tilt-trim. It is not connected to anything. Any help would be appreciated. If there is additional info that is needed please let me know. I will continue to check back. If it helps, there is the part of the speed indicator on the back of the boat with a wire coming up, but it is not connected to anything either."
