Tach for 96 48 spl

I have a tach with the functio

I have a tach with the function lights on the bottom for my 96 Baymaster boat. I am not getting any function from the tach so i tried to clean and broke off the plastic studs that bolt to the hold downs. I saw a Faria with alert for sale. Can this one be replaced with that unit or can i find a replacememnt just like the one i have? The only markings are of a big M on the back.

I have no function on the tach

I have no function on the tach as it was rusty i decided to clean when i broke it. The system check lites work great. A little epoxy as temp repair. BTW cleaning only made the light come on. I noticed that an arrow on the back as off to one side and a 5 and 6 were off to the right of the moveable arrow. Could this be why it is not working? Thanks for responding
