Tach and Fuel Gauge dont work

Hello all. Ive got a 2000 Logic or "triumph"17ft cc with a 2000 50hp johnson. Ive basically restored the boat, having tore it completely apart then put it back together going threw every componet with a fine tooth comb. I rewired the whole boat in the process. Ive got it all back together and fired up the motor the other day for the 1st time. Everything ran like a champ!! But my tach doesnt work. Its a combo tach/system check tachometer. It performs a self diagnostic test per factory specs but after starting and running the motor, the tach its self reads 0 rpms. I have not run the motor over idle speed nore run it under a load yet but i did run it at idle speed for about 15 minutes with no luck. Also my Fuel guage reads empty even with a full tank. Does anyone have any idas on how i can perform tests to isolate the cause of each problem. I know that theyre not related. Ive purchased a Seloc manual and the thing is bad ass!!!!!! But unfortunately it doesnt go in to these types of issues. I know how to test the rectifier to see if thats my issue and still need to do so but does anyone know to test the tach its self. And with the fuel gauge issue, well i have no idea where to start there, or how to test those componets i should say. And if it helps theyre both faria gauges. Thanks, Matt!

The low oil/no oil/over heat/ and check engine lights/sensors all work properly as well as the warning buzzer. Everything with in the tach is working exept for the tach its self. So with that said i assume the tach is getting proper power and ground. The tach has an 8 pin style plug and thats all there is running in to the back other then the +/- for the gauge illumination.
