T25 outboard hard start when warm

Purchased a Sweetwater pontoon boat with a 2005 T25TLRD outboard last August. Ran it on a week's vacation plus a few other times last season with no issue.

In the fall I changed the oil/filter, fogged the engine, changed the water/fuel separator and the lower unit oil, and treated the gas. This boat has a built-in 25 gallon tank - it was about 2/3 full.

Pulled it out earlier this spring, squeezed the bulb and started it up in the yard for a few minutes with the engine in a big barrel of water with a continuous supply of cold water going into it. Ran fine.

Went out for the first time yesterday to do some fishing. Stopped at the gas station and topped off the tank with non-ethanol. No problems starting at the launch, and after a few short drifts.

Went on a longer run to a different spot, shut it off to fish. Went to restart and it would turn over but not start. Squeezed the bulb a few times, but no luck. Finally got it started by "pumping" the throttle in neutral.

Drove it around the bay for quite a while - it ran great no skipping or anything. Got back to the launch, shut it off and tried to start it - same thing, had to pump the hell out of the throttle and eventually it started. There was a gas smell like it was flooded, but it also acted like it wasn't getting gas??

Thank you for your help.
