1975 50 hp evinrude model 50573b can anyone tell me how to check the synchronization fuel and ignition systems i have the seloc manual but it doesnt make sense to me maybe some one could explain it a little better thanks

"Back the cam away from the throttle roller if it is touching the roller even in the slightest sense.

The linkages between the carburetors must be adjusted so that there is no tension upon them, meaning that you do not want one throttle butterfly completely closed with the other one slightly open. The throttle and choke butteflies must start to open and close at the same time.

Now, with the scribe mark on the metal cam aligned with the center of the roller, and the engine running, the timing should be set to 3° +/- 1° (check your manual for the timing setting as there might be a difference). The setting can be adjusted by moving the nylon clevis on the threaded rod.

TYhe throttle butterflies should just start to open when that scribe mark aligns with dead center of the throttle roller.

If there are two (2) scribe marks on the cam, use the bottom mark which will be the first mark encountered. That's it.
