I replaced the two bellows on

I replaced the two bellows on my Volvo 5.7 GS/SX outdrive in April. I removed the outdrive yesterday (August) for maintenance and found water in the drive shaft bellow. I must have made a mistake when replacing the bellow in April. Does anyone have instructions for re-installing an SX outdrive?

"If you don't have it, get hold of a copy of the Seloc repair manual and follow the instructions. Also, check the u-joints if they have been exposed to water.

I don't recall having worked on SX (they are too new to me
biggrin.gif
) but I know drive bellows usually have a rib on each end that has to fit in the corresponding groove at the transom shield and drive. I believe this also applies to your drive. If this is the case, it will also help if you coat the rib area with Perfect Seal or similar, then make sure the hose clamps are tight."
