I have aquired a 35HP Evinrud

I have aquired a 35HP Evinrude power head. Will it adapt to my 76 35HP Johnson? Will all my parts fit on this powerhead? Help! Thanks

You note that your Johnson is

You note that your Johnson is a 76 model. What year is the Evinrude powerhead? If you don't know what year it is do you know what model Evinrude it came off of?

" My mistake, the topic name d

" My mistake, the topic name denotes a 59 Evinrude. There are going to be a lot of differences between 1959 1976.

I am not sure if the powehead will bolt up or not. One of the more experienced guys could jump in here and tell you for sure.

I am pretty sure however that many of the parts from your 76 Evinrude powerhead are not going to bolt up on a 59 anything. Evinrude and Johnson are generally interchangable but only across certain horsepower/year ranges. It is my guess that you will need a powerhead from a more recent production year to accomplish the swap. "

I think the lower unit drain

I think the lower unit drain screws are about the only interchangeable part between the two motors. They're two entirely different animals...
