I want to switch from a mercu

I want to switch from a mercury to either an evinrude or suzuki and want to know if I'll have to tear up the transom?

Just redrill the mount holes.

Just redrill the mount holes. The old ones are easy to plug.
I fill them with epoxy and smooth off and seal out side again with 3m 5200
Have been known to epoxy dowel rod in them.

" depends on the year of existing engine, power and replacement power, newer engines are built on standard sized brackets older engines arent if not standrad it will require hull modification, if all std sized it will be a bolt on affair untill the controlls are ran...
