" Mike..... Hopefully you purc

" Mike..... Hopefully you purchased the fuel pump that operates the diaphram through a hole in the lower back of the pump. If so, look closely at the area where the fitting is that would normally operate the VRO pump. You will see a casting protruding out from the intake manifold housing that is approximately 3/8" to 1/2" high and about 1-3/4" wide (whatever the width of the pump is). There will be a threaded hole on each end which are retaining screw holes (long bottom side screws through the fuel pump). The large screw that you'll see in between those threaded holes is a plug..... remove it. That center hole is the operating passageway for the fuel pump. Note that a gasket (303615) is required between the pump and that casting.

" thanks i got that all done,

" thanks i got that all done, but it still is only turnning 4300rpms at wot. i have a 17auqasport its a 79 hull and a 17 pitch prop. i never noticed it before but ofcorse i just rebuild it myself for the first time. it seems the flywheel is getting hot after wot run. could this be because the boat is only turnning 4300 rpms not 5500?
