Swelling on hose assembly from tstat housing to circulating pump

Hi all. I read some old threads on this from 2008 but couldn’t find the solution. I have a Mercrusiser 5.7l 350. It’s a 2004.

The large y hose coming from the thermostat housing to the circulating pumps swells under load so much so that the belt cuts a hole into the hose. Any ideas or advice on how to fix this would be great.

Exhaust manifolds have been changed within the last month and this issue did not arise until a few days of running after.

Raw water cooled or does it have a heat exchanger?

Were the elbows changed with the manifolds?

most likely exaust risers clogged , water not exiting the motor fast enough

Or the wrong gaskets between the manifolds and the elbows...
