Swapping Outboards

Gentlemen, I could use some advice. I have been going through my father's 1975 Trihull for the past few years. I have replaced the floor, transom, seats, steering, etc. The original Evinrude 135 is tired, and the mice have done a number on the wires. I have been looking for a reliable motor that wont break the bank.

I have found a rebuilt Evinrude 150 with proper length. I am worried about the weight difference. Has anyone wrestled through this before?

What's the horse power rating on the boat ??

OK, the Coast Guard Plate was sun faded. I can barely read
150
1200
1825

Im guessing this top number means HP Rating.

Then you'd be alright with the 150.
