swapping engines

I have a 1997 17ft chris craft open bow limited. I have a 3.0 volvo engine in it. Can I put a 4.3 volvo in it's place.

First look to see if this same hull was offered with a 4.3L engine.
If so, then yes...... it could be done.

Final drive reduction will need to be changed.
Engine mount stringers will require modification.
Engine harness may require a change or a modification.
