Suzuki wonbt shut off

I have a 1985 DT 85 runs great

I have a 1985 DT 85 runs great but won't shut off with the key the only way to shut it off is to disconect the fuel line and let it run out of gas. any ideas?

Turns out the guy I bought it

Turns out the guy I bought it from used an automotive ignition switch. replaced it with a marine switch now its fine.thanks for the help GONE FISHIN
