.. Hey guys.. I'm prepping a friend's older Mako out for the market and I'm trying to get a reasonably accurate hour count on it.. Seems I remember something about a beep code or some such on power-up.. I haven't been able to find anything out on the web.. Any ideas.? It's a 2000 225 EFI..

you can read the working Hours of your Engine easily. Turn on the Ignition ad have a look at your Tach. 800 U/Min means 80 Hours, 1000 means 100. If you are higher than 500, you will see that your Rev Light will flash 1 time, over 1000 it will flash 2 times.

1 Flash and 800 U/Min means 580 Hours.
