I have just bought a new DF6A. I thought I’d do some of the break in before I put the boat down to save time trolling round the bay at slow speed. Engine runs absolutely fine, starts first pull. I’ve followed the handbook to the letter. My issue is that when I’m done running it in gear (1/3 throttle), it doesn’t idle very well. I’m returning it slowly to idle and putting it in neutral and it tends to cut out quite quickly followed by a puff of blue/white smoke. I’m not an engineer so any help is appreciated. Thanks
