I went to hook up to my boat this evening and noticed oil on the slab under the motor. It appears to be coming from an allen nut on the shaft, about a foot or so under the cowling, right below the pee hole. I took the cowling off, checked all aroud the oil filter and fill hole, and down in the cowling, there isn't a drop of oil in any of these places. Any ideas on what might be causing this and why it is coming out on the shaft? I don't have my manual with me. Supposed to go fishing in the morning and wondering if it is safe to run. Thanks.
