Suzuki DF15 4 stroke oil check

"Having just aquired a 4sroke suzuki outboard (2003) could someone please give this novice a little info (until i aquire manual) on the correct way to check the oil level is it via a dipstick or by some type of oil level gauge, and where are they located ,and is it done with the engine in its working position or up, many thanks for this chris"

"Thanks for that i did notice what looked like a dipstick but it seem to be in very tight and also ontop of engine this message saying oil level gauge so was not sure about it, but will give it a tug thanks again"
