"I have a 2005 DF115 with 250 hours on a 18 ft Outrage. The motor has recently developed a slight clicking noise that may occur when planing the boat. Otherwise, the performance and sound of the motor is normal. I recently had the lower unit serviced.
I have not taken the boat to a dealer yet. Any ideas of what the source of this noise might be? Reduction gear? Shift mechanism? The motor has been perfect otherwise.
