"I just had my 300 hour servic

"I just had my 300 hour service and oil change on my 2004 DF250. Went to a differant mechanic who was a lot closer. When he called me to tell me the boat was ready he told me it only had 3 quarts of oil in it and he accused the lst dealer who serviced the motor of only putting three quarts in it instead of the required eight. Neither he or I checked the oil before the change. I will never make that mistake again. Anyway, I think he was either lieing or mistaken. My motor runs great and the Oil Pressure Caution System has never activated. Can someone plese tell me how many quarts low a DF 250 can be before the Caution Sytem activates? I can't imagine that it could ever get down to three out of eight quarts before activating. If it can there is a serious manufacturer's defect with that system."

"If this caution lamp indicate

"If this caution lamp indicates low pressure as opposed to low level, you would never know you were running on half a tank of oil, until the oil pump started sucking air. My motor was 4 qts low, with no alarm. If you figure out where the oil is going let me know. My motor runs fine also."
