Suzuki 98b DT150 CKP sensor error

"All of a sudden I am getting

"All of a sudden I am getting a flashing check engine line. It flashes four times, pauses then flash twice more. According to the manual it is code 42 CKP Sensor error. But no were else is the manual is there a referrence to A)WTF it is B) how to fix it?

u need to buy a new on and replace it
you might want to bring it in to a certified dealer

why does this sound expensive? I was backing the boat into the driveway and tapped the fence with the prop.

what's the chance of it just being the sensor and not some serious damage to the crankshaft?
