"I have a 2000 suzuki 25hp 4 stroke. I have had this boat since it was new with no problems since 2000. Last week I went to the lake and upon acceleration it bogged down after mid throttle (under load) as if it had too much weight in the boat. After running for a few minutes it seemed to regain some of the power allowing me to get on plane but still lacking full power. I replaced the spark plugs and ran it again the next week. Same story except now it bogged down worse and did not seem to restore. This week I replaced the entire fuel line(primer bulb, fuel line, fittings, tank, and filter). I also flushed the carbs with cleaner. I have not lake tested it yet, however, I am not sure what else to do. I have ordered a fuel pump rebuild kit and will complete today. Does anyone have any other suggestions? A carb job runs $600 at my local repair shop. Is this something I can do myself? I am mechanically capable. Thanks for any suggestions."
