Sucked im mud

Hello. I drove in to some mud after would when I was driving home the engine seem to be faltering and a warning buzzer went off I stopped and shut the engine of. The when I when going again it wouldn't go over over a certain amount or revs. I putted home for a bit and then got up on the plane then the buzzer went off again I stop the engine again for a bit. The engine seemed to start and idle fine.... the water stream was running fine. Wat does all this mean?
