We just picked up a boat last week and the first time we put it out in the water it would only go in revers. It being the first time I was ever in a boat alone driving I was kinda freaked out but I backed it back up to the dock dad hoped in and started it back up and it went forward in the backward postion on the throttle so we figured it was just flipped, well that's not the gas back is forward, forward is back (if that makes sense). The boat seems to only want to go in revers when it fells like it and when it does it stays there and then for what ever reason it deiced OK I'll go forward now. Not to sure what is going on. Any idea's or suggestion once we get it going forward it runs like a champ no problems at all but for what ever reason if we shut it off its a crap shoot on weather it will go forward's or backwards and when we get in to our tight little places it can be a little scary not knowing
